Bang Bang vertelt het verhaal van Harleen, een eenvoudige bankreceptioniste in Shimla. Ze woont bij haar oma. Wanneer haar oma haar dwingt om op zoek te gaan naar de liefde van haar leven, besluit ze dit te proberen via een online datingsite. Als zij in het restaurant zit te wachten op haar date, wandelt Rajveer voorbij. Helemaal betoverd door haar schoonheid stapt hij het restaurant binnen. Harleen denkt dat hij haar date is. De eerste date verloopt, op het eerste gezicht, voorspoedig. Pas aan het eind van haar date komt ze erachter dat Rajveer niet is wie hij zegt dat hij is.
