This type of bento is popular because it's easy-to-eat and filling. Maki demonstrates how to make a bento containing chicken that's been cooked with wasabi and soy sauce. When cooked, wasabi loses its bite and imparts a refreshing aroma. On Bento Trip, we head to Kobuchisawa in Yamanashi Prefecture to try a kamameshi bento that showcases local wild vegetables.
